Carbon Capture Programme

As part of our continuous commitment to becoming more sustainable and reducing our carbon footprint, we are extremely proud to be part of the Carbon Capture Programme.

Working with our trusted paper stock supplier, we are able to capture the CO2 emissions from our paper purchases for projects by planting native woodland, right here in the UK, through the Woodland Trust and the Woodland Carbon scheme.

Annually, we receive a certificate which shows the tonnes of CO2 captured and square metres (m2) of new native woodland we have helped to plant.

What is Woodland Carbon?

Woodland Carbon is a scheme created by the Woodland Trust to plant more trees in the UK. This scheme helps businesses and individuals remove the harmful gas, carbon dioxide, that is created by many day-to-day and business activities

Not only does it demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and those of clients, creating new woodland and planting trees to capture carbon dioxide provides us with a huge range of other benefits such as improving air quality, reducing stress and improving our mental wellbeing, making our local communities greener and even providing natural long-term solutions to flooding.

What is the Woodland Trust?

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity that believes life is better with trees by improving the quality of the air that we breathe, providing the natural habitat for an array of UK wildlife (including 250 endangered species) and forming nature’s magical playground for children and adults alike. The charity looks after 1200 woods which are open year-round for the public to enjoy free of charge. As well as creating new woodland, they remain passionate about protecting the old.

What is Carbon Capture?

  • A method of mitigating CO2 emissions and provides a reduced carbon solution for organisations

  • A unique market leading, high impact, low cost environmental programme with tangible benefits

  • Creates native woodland in the UK and provides habitats for wildlife and green spaces for all to enjoy

  • A demonstration of an organisations values and responsible approach to the environment

How does it work?

  • We are offering customers and their clients the opportunity to capture the CO2 emissions from their paper/print purchases by planting native woodland, right here in the UK, through the Woodland Trust and the Woodland Carbon scheme.

  • We have elected to Carbon Capture all our paper purchases via our paper supplier

  • The average amount of CO2 emitted from the manufacture and distribution of a tonne of paper has been calculated

  • The Calculation has been verified by the Woodland Trust using Carbon Trust and DEFRA figures

  • The Woodland Carbon logo may be used in conjunction with your print job to demonstrate your commitment to the environment

  • 100% of the Carbon Capture charges are paid directly to the Woodland Trust and new woodland is planted at their accredited sites across the UK
